In this Restorative Yoga module, we’ll explore the history and foundations of restorative practice while building the skills to confidently create safe, supportive, and nurturing experiences. We’ll dive into intelligent prop use, sequencing, pacing, modifications, and the physiology and psychology behind restorative yoga, including its relationship with the nervous system, stress, mindfulness, and the mind-body connection.
We’ll also explore how restorative practices can be integrated into other yoga styles, workshops, and private sessions, while cultivating restorative practices for your own self care and personal practice.
You’ll leave with practical tools to thoughtfully weave restoration into your teaching and a deeper understanding of how to hold space for meaningful rest, awareness, and connection.

Teacher Bio
Hi, I'm CJ!
My path as a 500 RYT, 200 E-RYT, YACEP, Reiki Master, and Certified Sound Healing Practitioner has been shaped by a deep curiosity for the connection between the mind, body, and spirit. My journey into yoga began through movement, but what kept me coming back was the profound transformation I experienced both on and off the mat. What started as a physical practice has evolved into a lifestyle rooted in presence, intention, compassion, and the continual journey of self-discovery.
With a background in psychology, I've become especially drawn to the relationship between the mind and body and the importance of honoring the nervous system. That passion continues to inspire how I teach, guiding me to create intentional spaces where students can slow down, reconnect with themselves, and experience the profound power of yoga.
In the 300-Hour Advanced Teacher Training Program, I'll be leading the Restorative Yoga module, exploring the history, philosophy, and foundations of the practice. Trainees will learn how to create supportive restorative experiences through intelligent prop use, intentional sequencing, nervous system awareness, and a deeper understanding of the body’s ability to find balance and ease. My hope is to empower teachers with the tools and confidence to hold space for meaningful rest, self-awareness, and connection.
I'm also excited to offer future trainings in energy-based practices that complement traditional wellness modalities, expanding your holistic toolkit.
